Galway Head Injury Support Limited is a voluntary organisation run by a very dedicated and hardworking group of volunteers. Our chairperson is Martin Moran, who along with his team of fellow committee members ensure that Galway Head Injury Support Limited continues to provide much needed help and support to those who have been affected by brain injury or stroke. Galway Head Injury Support Limited are delighted to announce the resumption of our LoCall Support Helpline and Counselling service. If you have been affected by a brain injury or stroke or are a family member/carer looking after someone afftected by brain injury/stroke, you might like to avail of our service. It operates on Monday (incl. bank holidays) and Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7.30pm. The LoCall number is 1890-32-31-30
Galway Head Injury Support Ltd. recently celebrated their 12th Anniversary with a dinner dance in the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill. A great night was had by all. Pictured below is Padraic McCormack who presented a cheque to Nora Murphy, Treasurer of our organisation. We would like to say a huge thank you to Padraic and wish him well in his retirement. He has been a huge support to our organisation over the last couple of years.
Galway Head Injury Support Limited would like to say a huge thank you to Marie Philbin who organised a Fundraising Ceilí last December, with all proceeds being donated to our group. A total of €3,001 was raised, for which we are very grateful as it will allow us to continue providing much needed support and services to those affected by Brain Injury.
